Mumbai: Actor-director Ajay Devgn, who also produces films, has now ventured into producing TV shows. The Bollywood superstar has teamed up with Watergate Production to make a show based on Yogaguru Baba Ramdev’s childhood days.

National Award winning child artist Naman Jain, who essays the young Baba Ramdev says he is honoured to portray the yoga guru in biopic TV series Swami Ramdev: Ek Sangharsh.

Devgn took to Twitter Monday to announce his TV show starring Naman.

He tweeted: “Naman, immensely talented, playing young Swami Ramdev in our upcoming show Swami Ramdev: Ek Sangharsh on Discovery Jeet (sic).”

Talking about his role in the TV series, Naman said, “It is an honour to play Ramdev's childhood in his biopic series. Playing the role of Ramkishan (young Ramdev) is quite challenging as he was born with partial facial paralysis. I am trying to put my best foot forward with an aim to impress not only the viewers, but the man himself too. Hope, I do justice to Ramdev's role.”

Naman has previously appeared in films like Chillar Party, Jai Ho and Raanjhanaa.

Swami Ramdev: Ek Sangharsh, which will be aired on soon to be launched channel Discovery JEET, will trace Ramdev's inspirational journey from a life of anonymity to a renowned yoga guru and business mogul.
