Mumbai: This Diwali, popular TV celebrities like Vivian Dsena, Rashami Desai and Mohammad Nazim among others will put their fitness diets on rest and will binge on sweets and homemade dishes to celebrate the auspicious occasion with their family and friends.

Here's what TV stars plan to do on Diwali on Thursday:

Vivian Dsena: Diwali means family time and eating lots of homemade food. My mother and her sister are fabulous cooks. I hail from Ujjain. In a town like Ujjain, Diwali is always wonderful as you meet relatives and friends and there is warmth. In a city like Mumbai, the vibes are different. Festival time is family time is my mantra.

Mohammad Nazim: I would celebrate Diwali with my friends in Mumbai. It means wearing new clothes and chilling out seeing all happy faces. I would binge on sweets from ‘kaaju katli' to ‘kheer'. I won't diet for two days. I am a foodie and would pamper my taste buds.

Aniruddh Dave: This is my second Diwali after my marriage to Shubhi Ahuja. I will celebrate Diwali in Jaipur. All I want to do is to have fun with family. No crackers for me as I am against them. Also, I will buy something in gold for Shubhi. Jaipur is decorated like a queen and is one of the most happening destinations for Diwali celebrations.

Jasmin Bhasin: I would go for shopping for sure. I have a long shopping list. Festive time offers good discounts. I would be shooting for my new show, so I won't have too much time to plan a party. I would spend time with my near and dear ones and pamper myself.

Gunjan Utreja: I have been hosting a lot of events and working on my show ‘Comedy Dangal' too. I would splurge on delicious dinner with my friends and would party at least on Diwali night. I will be in Chandigarh where the weather would be perfect for a long drive. It will be a family affair.

Rashami Desai: My mom Rasila Ajay Desai makes varied food items. I love Diwali, it's my favourite festival. I love the whole festive spirit and burn a bit of crackers too. I will eat everything given to me. I am not fussy at all and I graciously accept all the things offered to me.

Sourabh Raaj Jain: Diwali is a festival of togetherness, sweets, lights, and joy. Yes, we do puja every Diwali. Our family does not indulge in playing cards. This year I will be celebrating with friends and family at home. I have a new addition of twins in the family, so it will be their first Diwali.

Angad Hasija: Diwali has always been my favourite as it comes with lights and celebration. The four days are full of joy with friends and relatives visiting us and having a joyous time all groomed in traditional clothes. This year I would be celebrating it with my family. Diwali is the time to count our blessings.

Himani Sharma: Ganesh-Laxmi puja on Diwali day is very sacred and auspicious. I think everyone's parents want their kids to come back home to be a part of this Puja and to spend time back home. This year I have invited a lot of my TV friends who are not from Mumbai and who wish to do the Ganesh-Laxmi puja here.

Niki Walia: I remember my first Diwali after becoming an actor, I bought myself a car. It was very special to me. Nowadays, the Diwali celebrations have become very elaborate, but for me, the Diwali puja, putting rangoli and diyas means the most. My message to everyone this year is, instead of exchanging gifts, give someone your time, it will be the best gift ever. I've been trying to do that myself too. Also, wishing everyone a happy and prosperous Diwali."

Sanjay Kapoor: Diwali is very special to me and my family as every year we make sure we meet for the Diwali puja at my mom's place. My mom makes the best mutton/junglee pulao and that's something none of us can afford to miss. I wish everyone a very happy and safe Diwali and spend as much time as you can with your family.
