· Loneliest Road in America: As the name suggests, this highway is peaceful, quiet and beautiful with its serenity. Apart from that, this three-day road trip from Carson City to Ely has a lot to offer like Churchill Vineyards, Stillwater National Wildlife Refuge; a great place for birdwatchers. A major attraction is the Sand Mountain Recreation Area, a 600-foot-high sand dune which is surrounded by off road nomads and photographers. Then comes the Middlegate Station, the home of the Monster Burger which you cannot afford to miss as it will be the tastiest you have ever eaten. Soak yourself in a below ground pool of naturally heated water in Spencer Hot Springs. Start your two-day trip from Las Vegas to Tonopah with a visit to Seven Magic Mountains, a colorful large-scale public artwork featuring seven 30- to 35-foot-high fluorescent totems comprised of painted, locally-sourced boulders. Take a detour to Goldwell Open Air Museum and Rhyolite Ghost Town. The museum is the home of seven larger than life sculptures and the well preserved ruins of Rhyolite.
