Etawah election result 2022: The final results for the assembly election held in Etawah Vidhan Sabha, which comes under the Doab region and the Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, are currently awaited. It shares an inter-state border with the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh. The Etawah Vidhan Sabha seat witnessed a tough competition mainly between BJP's Sarita, Sarvesh Kumar Shakya. As of now, BJP's Sarita is leading with over 3000 votes against her SP rival Sarvesh Kumar Shakya. She has secured around 97532 votes as against 93255 votes secured by Sarvesh Kumar Shakya.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded its sitting MLA Sarita Bhadauriya from the Etawah Vidhan Sabha while Samajwadi Party replaced Kuldeep Gupta with Sarvesh Kumar Shakya. By replacing its 2017 candidate for the Etawah Assembly seat, the Akhilesh Yadav-led party is hoping to spell magic in the key constituency.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded its sitting MLA Sarita Bhadauriya from the Etawah Vidhan Sabha. In 2017 Uttar Pradesh Election, BJP’s Sarita Bhadauriya won the Etawah assembly seat. Sarita had defeated Samajwadi Party’s Kuldeep Gupta ‘Santu’ by a margin of 17,342 votes.

While BJP has fielded its sitting MLA Sarita Bhadauriya from the Etawah Vidhan Sabha this time, the Samajwadi Party has given the ticket to Sarvesh Kumar Shakya by replacing its 2017 candidate Kuldeep Gupta. Other candidates in the fray are SDU's Shyam Singh, IND's Partibha Shakya, JSDL candidate Bobby, who is also the richest candidate here, JAKP's Satya Prakash, AAP's Shiv Pratap Singh among others.

In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Sarita Bhadauriya of BJP won from this seat by defeating Kuldeep Gupta of SP by a margin of 17342 votes which was 7.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 41.28% in 2017 in the seat.

In 2012, Raghuraj Singh Shakya of SP won in this seat defeating Mahendra Singh Rajpoot of BSP by a margin of 6264 votes which was 3.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. SP had a vote share of 37.37% in 2012 in the seat.
