LUCKNOW: At least 30 school going children fell ill after they were administered vaccination for measles and rubella in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.
The incident took place at a camp in Saraswati Shishu Mandir school in Shahjahanpur district.
The children started complaining of headache and dizziness. They were immediately rushed to the district hospital.

In 2017, an estimated 1,10,000 deaths were due to measles across the globe, according to a report by World Health Organization (WHO).
In India, to eliminate measles and control rubella by 2020, the government has initiated the Measles-Rubella (MR) Campaign targeting to vaccinate 410 million children and adolescents between 9 months to 15 years of age. Started in February 2017, 135 million children have been vaccinated in 28 states/UTs so far.
