• Harsimrat is a Member of Parliament from Bhatinda. • She belongs to Shiromani Akali Dal party. • She married Sukhbir Singh Badal in 1991. • Her political career started with General Elections in 2009. • Harsimrat defeated Rajendra Singh by 120960 votes and was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from Bhatinda constituency. • She gave her first speech on December 03, 2009. • Harsimrat Kaur has started a project named “Nanhi Chhan”. • “Nanhi chhan” is a movement to save girl child and trees.
