New Delhi: While the trailer of the film created quite a buzz, the movie Ittefaq has been much- awaited by the audience. Starring Sonakshi Sinha, Siddharth Malhotra and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles, Ittefaq is all set to roll in cinemas on November 3. Here are the reasons why you must watch the movie this weekend:

1. Remake of the Rajesh Khanna starrer

The original Ittefaq which hit the theaters in October 1969 starred Rajesh Khanna in the lead role and was directed by the legendary Yash Chopra. Ittefaq 2017 is a remake of the 1969 super-hit and hopes from this film are high. Will the 2017 Ittefaq be able to recreate the same magic? Only time shall tell!

2. Collaboration of Dharma Productions and Red Chilli Entertainment

Red Chilli Entertainment was founded in 2003 by superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Ittefaq is the first collaboration of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and SRK's Red Chilli Entertainment. With two huge companies uniting for a film, the results are bound to be awe-struck.

3. Sonakshi Sinha, Siddharth Malhotra, and Akshaye Khanna

Sonakshi, Siddharth, and Akshaye are sharing screen space for the very first time. The trio's magic on the silver screen is highly awaited by their fans. This is also the first time that Sonakshi will be seen opposite heartthrob Siddharth and their pairing is another reason to be excited about.

4. Murder Thriller

The trailer of the film was intriguing and Ittefaq is a murder- thriller. The plot revolves around three protagonists- Dev, Vikram and Maya. Dev is a police officer investigating a double murder case that has two witnesses- Vikram and Maya. With Vikram's and Maya's poles apart narratives, it is up to Dev to decide who is telling the truth. With such an interesting plot, we can't wait to know about the full story.

5. Akshaye Khanna's return as a cop

Sridevi starrer Mom hit the theaters on 7 July 2017 and Akshaye was seen playing a dotting cop. He garnered a lot of appreciation for his role as a cop and here is Akshaye, playing a tough, determined cop yet again in Ittefaq.
