Mumbai: Janhvi Kapoor, who made her grand debut this year with Karan Johar's Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter, is all set to star in a big project helmed by her mentor.
The pretty young girl has been roped in by Johar for his directorial Takht, a period drama, starring Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor in significant roles.
The latest about the Kapoor girl's professional endeavour is that she is being considered for Shashank Khaitan's espionage thriller starring Varun Dhawan as the male lead.
According to a report in After Hrs, Janhvi will play a spy in the thriller and her character in it will be inspired by the highly-acclaimed Bourne series. She will reportedly under rigorous training to perform action in stunt sequences.
If Janhvi is finalised for the role, it will be her first film with Varun Dhawan and Bollywood would get yet another refreshing onscreen Jodi.
Varun, who recently made a splash on the big screen as Mauji, a tailor in Sui Dhaaga - Made in India, will be seen in Karan Johar's Kalank which boasts of an ensemble cast with Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapoor on board.
