Phillauri box office report: Anushka Sharma's 'ghostly' avatar mints Rs 19 cr so far!

New Delhi: Anushka Sharma as a 'friendly ghost' hit the right chords with the audiences as 'Phillauri' is showing steady growth at the box office windows. The film happens to be her second home production under Clean State Films after 'NH10'. 

'Phillauri' has collected 1.95 crore nett on Tuesday, taking the 5 day total to 19.22 crore nett. The film was made at a cost of 21 crore and has already recovered 12 crore from satellite and music rights. With only 9 crore to recover before the film release. The film is produced by Fox Star Studios and Clean Slate films.

Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios, announces the profitability of the film saying, "The film is set to register a good week one and has become a profitable film for us. We are glad that we could produce differentiated content that has found its audience."

The comedy-drama stars Diljit Dosanjh, 'Life Of Pi' actor Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Pirzada besides Anushka in the lead. The film opened in theatres on March 24, 2017.
