Rani Mukerji’s Hichki trailer may be launched with Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai

Mumbai: Rani Mukerji will return to the silverscreen with her home production – Hichki – an inspiring tale of a woman who converts her weakness into strength. The trailer of the slice of life film may be launch on the day Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai, a Yash Raj Films’ production releases i.e., on December 22.

“Hichki is a film for all age-groups and as a story, is relatable pan India. It is a happy and uplifting story of self-belief and celebrates human spirit and hope. The makers wanted Hindi moviegoers across India to sample the trailer, sit up and take notice of a film that has its heart in the right place. What could be better than attaching the Hichki trailer to Tiger Zinda Hai?’’ dnaindia.com quoted a source as saying.

“The makers have charted out an extensive strategy once the trailer hits the theatres. Rani will be fronting the campaign. She loves what the film is communicating and is thrilled about how the film has shaped up,” the source added.

Rani, who is thrilled to return to the big screen for the first time since her daughter’s birth, said, “I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me. And Hichki came my way. Each of us has a weakness that pulls us back. It could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it simply as a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won’t come in the way of achieving our dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I decided to take it up.”

Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma, Hichki will release on February 23, 2018.
