Ranveer Singh's Simmba: Karan Johar's Dharma Productions reveals name of leading lady in Rohit Shetty's film

Mumbai: Karan Johar's Dharma Productions which is producing Rohit Shetty's entertainer Simmba starring the one and only Ranveer Singh, has revealed the name of the leading lady in the film.

The official Twitter handle of Dharma Productions' tweeted:

Simmba will be Sara's second film. 

Daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, Sara was roped in by Abhishek Kapoor for Kedarnath costarring Sushant Singh Rajput. The film was slated to release in December but may hit theatres only in 2019 owing to a number of reasons.

Though Simmba is Sara's second film, it will release first. 

The poster of Simmba was unveiled in December last year. In the quirky poster, we can see Ranveer sporting a handlebar moustache and aviators. Going by the picture, it is evident that the heartthrob will play a cop named Sangram Bhalerao. 

Ranveer’s funny expression also substantiates the fact that he will play a happy-go-lucky, witty character.

Simmba will be his first with Rohit and the filmmaker’s maiden venture with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions’ banner. The film may have Ajay Devgn on board for a cameo role. Rohit is very close to Ajay and has delivered a number of blockbusters – Golmaal series, Singham, Singham Returns with him already.

Reports suggest that Ranveer will be trained to perform action scenes by Rohit’s team. And if turns out to be true, we can see Ranveer doing some breathtaking action sequences and stunts.
