New Delhi: Salman Khan's 'Race 3' has set the Box Office on fire. Despite receiving generally negative reviews from the critics, the action-thriller has been performing very well at the ticket counter and has become the first film of this year to earn Rs 100 crore in mere three days of its release.
As per a Bollywoodlife.com report, 'Race 3' has grossed Rs 177.51 crore at the domestic ticket counter and rs 60 counter worldwide and stands with the net collection of Rs 237.51 crore.
And if the film keeps the momentum sustained, it will collect Rs 250 crore by the end of Thursday.
Meanwhile, the film has become the highest grossing film of the year and has left behind Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' and 'Baaghi 2. Also, it is Salman's 14th film to have entered 100 crore club.
No wonder, this is why Salman is known to rule the Box office and hence is referred as the king of 100 crore club.
The film released on more than 4000 screens and collected Rs 29.17 crore on opening day in India, becoming biggest opener of the year. On the second day, the Eid day in India, the film collected Rs 38.14 crore, and the following day, Rs 39.16 crore collection of the film took its first weekend's net collection to Rs 106.47 crore and made it the second highest opening weekend grosser of the year after 'Padmaavat'.
Directed by choreographer-turned-director Remo D'Souza, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem playing pivotal parts. 'Race 3' has been produced by Tips Films.
Saif Ali Khan had played the lead role in previous 'Race' films but this time Salman has stepped into his shoes and it will be interesting to see how different his character portrayal will be. Salman and Jacqueline have done 'Kick' together and 'Race 3' is their second outing together.
