Salman Khan's Race 3 to mint Rs 100 crore in three days?
Salman Khan's 'Race 3', which released across theatres on Eid, has turned out to be a winner at the Box Office. The high-octane action drama has dethroned Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2 to become the highest opener of this year.

New Delhi: Salman Khan's 'Race 3', which released across theatres on Eid, has turned out to be a winner at the Box Office. The high-octane action drama has dethroned Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2 to become the highest opener of this year.
Directed by Remo D'Souza, the film collected Rs 38.14 crore on Saturday and stands with the net collection of Rs 67.31 crore.
Noted trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh shared the film collection writing, "#Race3 hits the ball out of the park on Day 2 [Sat]... #Eid festivities give MASSIVE BOOST to its biz... Day 3 [Sun] should score BIG NUMBERS yet again... ₹ 100 cr+ weekend on the cards... Fri 29.17 cr, Sat 38.14 cr. Total: ₹ 67.31 cr. India biz."
As per the opening figures of the film, 'Race 3' is third highest opening Salman Khan's film on Eid after 'Sultan' and Ek Tha Tiger'. While 'Sultan' collected Rs 36.54 crore on its first day, Ek Tha Tiger saw an opening of Rs 32.93 crore.
On Friday, trade pundits had predicted that the film will see an opening of Rs 30 crore and will collect Rs 100 crore in its first week. In the past, three Salman starrers - 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', 'Sultan' and 'Ek Tha Tiger' have achieved this figure in three days.
Since last several years, the festival of Eid belongs to Salman Khan. And this year, it was no different. In addition, 'Race 3' also had a solo release at the Box Office. As no other film is scheduled for release for the next two week, the Salman-starrer will not have to battle it out with any other film and will have a hassle-free run at the Box Office until June 29.
Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming film 'Sanju', which is a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, has been scheduled for release on June 29. Till then, 'Race 3' will have a good amount of screen to perform at the Box Office. And looking at its day one performance, the film is undoubtedly going to create a new shattering record at the ticket counter.
Directed by choreographer-turned-director Remo D'Souza, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem playing pivotal parts. 'Race 3' has been produced by Tips Films.
Saif Ali Khan had played the lead role in previous 'Race' films but this time Salman has stepped into his shoes and it will be interesting to see how different his character portrayal will be. Salman and Jacqueline have done 'Kick' together and 'Race 3' is their second outing together.
