Washington: As Valentine’s Day comes closer, a sex expert has offered sexy ideas and tips to turn your bedroom into a space for red hot romance.
Look around your room and take note of the sights that cause you to be stressed out, overwhelmed or anxious, and remove them, said Amy Levine of Ignite Your Pleasure. Levine also listed the 5 common culprits that turn out to be sources of “sexual sabotage,” according to the Huffington Post This first is clothing, which includes both dirty and clean laundry. Put clean clothes away in your closet and dirty clothes in the hamper as soon as you take them off, she stated. Next are papers and books. Move any bills that need to be paid, other paperwork, and books that you haven’t had time to read to another room. They don’t belong in your bedroom as they serve as reminders of to-dos, and can prevent you from getting in the mood, Levine suggested. Technologies like computer, TV, cell phone or tablet charging on your nightstand are all distractions. Angle your family photos away from the bed, or move them to the living room because you wouldn’t really want to look at a photo of family members when you’re having see, Levine stated. Move your children’s toys to their own bedroom or playroom. Basically, if an item is not in sync with making you feel sexy or allowing you to have a great night’s sleep, then get it out of your bedroom, she suggested. When it comes to mattresses Levine suggests the one that has a little spring to it, without the squeaky sound. The firmer the mattress, the more aches and pains you may feel as you get into fun positions, she said. High thread count sheets that are 100 percent cotton could enhance your Valentine’s Day encounter, making it a more sensual experience, Levine added. For a comforter and blanket, your best bet is to get something that’s easy to wash, rather than something that has to be dry-cleaned because a blanket can add texture to your love nest and messy bedding is a turn-off. Leving has the opinion the sex in the dark is boring. Being able to see your partner in a subtle light amps up the erotic intensity. So, she suggests putting your ceiling fixture on a dimmer. Or, get a lamp for your nightstand that has a three-way option for low, medium and bright light. Candlelight can also do the trick, she added. She also suggests certain scents to enhance your libido. Lavender and pumpkin pie are two scents that are considered to be aphrodisiacs for men, and clean smells like cucumber are said to be a turn-on for women, she cited. Find out what does it for you and your partner, she said. ANI
