Mumbai: Monsoon 2012 looks like it’s all set to rain heavily. We don’t know what the weather gods have in store for us, but the ‘Gods’ of Bollywood are gearing up to unleash a heavy downpour of films this monsoon. With about 30 films – both big budgeted and small budgeted ones – monsoon this year will have the film industry churning out cash in abundance! With about 500 crores invested in 30 films, business looks booming for Bollywood.
Some of the big releases include ‘Cocktail’ which releases on 13 July, ‘Jism 2’ on 3rd August, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ on 15th August, ‘Joker’ on 31st August and ‘Heroine’ on 14th September. The months of July, August and September are all packed with much-anticipated films and most of them – if not all – look promising enough. While Deepika Padukone’s smoking hot bikini-clad promos of ‘Cocktail’ have already set the temperatures soaring, Salman Khan’s action-packed ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ provides an adrenaline-packed punch. Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Heroine’ – after innumerable controversies and many troubles – is finally set to release in September. Sunny Leone’s much-awaited ‘Jism 2’, too is on the cards, and Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’ looks pretty interesting. This monsoon, people will be seen thronging outside theatres with umbrellas and clad in raincoats – after all, it is a season packed to the brim with entertainment!
