India ka DNA 2019 conclave: 'Housing for all by 2022' mission will be completed before time, says Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri

The first session of the 'India Ka DNA 2019' conclave was held at Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi.

New Delhi: Zee Media hosted the 'India Ka DNA 2019' conclave on Wednesday where top politicians and business leaders discussed the current situation of the country and deliberated on the achievements of the government in the last four years. The first session of the conclave was held at Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi.

In this session, business leaders and experts discussed on a wide range of issues that included digital India, farming sector and affordable housing.

The development narrative in 2019 is election dominated. While elections are held every five years, schemes are made for overall growth. But sometimes criticism to government projects are motivated.

The scheme that we started in 2014-15 will be completed before 2019. So schemes are not election driven. I firmly believe that all the targets will be met before time. You can check it based on figures and statistics.

The governments has strong intent to achieve its Housing for All mission by 2022 by enabling home ownership for every Indian. Till May 31, 4.75 million homes had been sanctioned. 3-5 lakh homes are being sanctioned every month. And by June, 51 million we will have sanctioned homes. So going by this rate, I think we can achieve housing for all scheme target by the third quarter of 2019
