Another year goes by with celebs keeping the public entertained with their shenanigans and making news for all the wrong reasons.

Washington: Another year goes by with celebs keeping the public entertained with their shenanigans and making news for all the wrong reasons.
To give you a recap, here is a list of the Top 10 Celebrity Meltdowns in 2011, compiled by Fox News. It features some of the usual suspects and some new entrants from unexpected fields like politics.
Charlie Sheen has had an eventful year and is the obvious winner for the top spot. After being fired from ‘Two and a Half Men’ the actor went on a ranting spree against people associated with the show. He paraded his multiple ‘goddess’ girlfriends in a weird comedy/concert tour, boasted about his drug-use and swung a machete from a rooftop. In the end, social services took away his children after ex-wife Brooke Mueller obtained a restraining order against him. Trailing him is Lindsay Lohan, again an obvious choice. She was charged with theft and put under house arrest, during which she failed a random alcohol test and later violated court-ordered community service. As a result, she was handed her fifth sentence in four years and ordered to do community service at the LA County morgue. But on her first day itself she couldn’t arrive on time and was turned away. Tied in the third place are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Anthony Weiner for their respective scams. The actor-politician’s marriage ended when it was discovered that he fathered a child with his housekeeper 14 years ago. Meanwhile, Congressman Anthony Weiner was forced to resign after accidentally tweeting lewd photos of himself to his followers and admirers. Surprisingly, Kim Kardashian lags behind these two politicians. Her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries on her reality show has led fans to believe that it was all an act, and Daniel Craig topped it off by calling her clan ‘f***ing idiots’ in an interview. Ashton Kutcher has also made it to the list due to his marital woes. The actor cheated on his soon-to-be ex-wife Demi Moore on the weekend of their sixth wedding anniversary. While these are the top five, the remaining five include a host of minor celebs, with a few notable exceptions. Camille Grammer embarrassed her ex Kelsey by commenting on his manhood and he reacted by going berserk backstage of another show where he was shown the clip. George Lopez, Brett Ratner, Tracy Morgan and Katt Williams together managed to insult people with weight issues, homosexuals and Mexicans respectively with their comments. Alec Baldwin secured the ninth place for himself on the list when he was booted off an American Airline flight for not switching off his cell phone. He later took to Twitter and made disparaging remarks about the airline staff. Johnny Depp, Susan Sarandon and Sinead O’Connor rounded off the list by offending a cross-section of the American population . In an interview, Depp compared photo shoots to rape while Sarandon referred to the Pope as a Nazi. O’Connor too said she would perform a ‘bloodbath’ if the head of the Vatican were to visit her home country of Ireland. So there you have it folks, a list of the celebrities’ not-so-proud moments to keep you company till next year. ANI
