Last rites of Dev Anand to be held on Saturday in London

New Delhi: The last rites of Bollywood legend Dev Anand will be performed on Saturday at Putney Vale, in London. According to a daily, the cremation will begin at 11:40 am at the famous crematorium which is known for its tranquility. There were speculations earlier about the actor’s cremation in India. The Indian government had offered the star’s family to bring back his body to Mumbai for the last rights. However, the family decided to wait for the actor’s wife, Kalpana Kartik and their daughter to reach London. The actress along with daughter joined her son Suneil Anand in London on Wednesday and later on it was decided that that Dev Saab would be cremated in London itself. Sources have also revealed that a memorial service will take place soon after the cremation at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan at Kensington in west London.
