Good News! Soon you can pay for LPG cylinders through an SMS

Mumbai: In what may be a big convenience, oil marketing companies are planning to introduce a a system using which LPG cylinder customers can pay by sending text messages with payment links, as per a report published in the Times of India.

The existing online booking facility will not be revoked and will function in parallel. Pune has been chosen for the pilot scheme.

The plan is in accordance with a view to digitize payment collection and reduce movement of cash in the system.
