New Delhi: African dignitaries, attending the India-Africa Forum Summit got to taste a host of Indian delicacies at the dinner in the national capital.
The African dignitaries were served a sumptuous array of delicacies -- from Kashmiri cuisines to South Indian coastal dishes along with palate- pleasing combination of sweet and sour flavours of Gujarat -- at the banquet hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday.
The vegetarian platter included Paneer Tikka, Subz Til Kebab and the famous Moti-e-Zamin, the main course comprised Kashmiri Dum Aloo, Panir Rihana, Adraki Gobhi, Dal Dera Ismail Khan and the host's favorite Vatana Muthia nu Shaak, served along with the choices of assorted Indian breads.
The non-vegetarian menu comprised the hotel's signature Kebab-e-Bannu, Tandoori Prawns and Pathar Kebab for starters while main course had Malabar Meen Curry, Murg Rihana and Dum ki Gosht Biryani in a flavorful combination of aromatic rice and lamb curry with special spices.
The beverage menu included refreshing Mint Sorbet and Qehwa/South Indian coffee while for the desserts, the guests were served fresh fruits, stuffed Kala Jamun served along with Rabri, Saffron flavored Sandesh and Shrikhand.
