Photography exhibition of late Jaipur royal Gayatri Devi

On the occasion of 2nd death anniversary of Gayatri Devi, a day-long photography exhibition of her life and times was held.

Jaipur: On the occasion of second death anniversary of former Jaipur royal Gayatri Devi, a day-long photography exhibition of her life and times was held here.

The exhibition was organised by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh Benevolent Trust at SMS Convention Centre here in which as many as 50 photographs including some profile pictures of Gayatri Devi were exhibited at the event. The photographs, taken by a city-based Jeweller Sudhir Kasliwal, who is also an avid photographer, take visitors into the world of the charismatic royal and her varied activities that include horse-riding, playing tennis, meeting renowned figures like Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth and Jacqueline Kennedy among others. There are also a number of photographs of Gayatri Devi with her husband late Maharaja Man Singh II of Jaipur. Chairman of the Trust Vidhya Devi said the original exhibition is of 150 photographs which will be shown in different cities of the country. PTI
