Mumbai: Known for posting racy pictures of herself on Twitter, Poonam Pandey has developed a knack to be in news. Ever since she made the controversial offer to strip naked in the stadium if India won the 2011 World Cup, the internet phenomena has become a celebrity of sorts. So much so, that the girl became a reason of protest in Kolkata, when a pic of her was morphed into a core religious figure. Protestors blocked roads for up to six hours throwing life out of gear over parts of Kolkata prompting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to appeal for peace. Poonam on the other hand, who is also known to voice her opinion about all and sundry, reacted by tweeting the following: - “I am really Shocked and Hurt over the incident in Kolkata, A fan made stupid morphed pic of mine was published by mistake on a News Paper - TweetHrts & all my Fans round d World i do appreciate ur Love towards me but such edited/Morphed pix really hurt me - Please keep me away from any such unwanted controversies which could hurt one`s sentiments. - I am a peace loving person and I don`t advocate any kind of violence... And crazy fans plz stop Morphing my pix. Well, we understand Poonam, and your efforts to ‘soft’ things up.
