Los Angeles: Actor-director Joseph Gordon-Levitt will receive CinemaCon`s Breakthrough Filmmaker of the Year Award for his feature debut `Don Jon`s Addiction`.
The 32-year-old premiered his directorial debut at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah in January and it proved to be a hit with fans and critics alike, landing a distribution deal from Relativity Media bosses, the Hollywood Reporter said.

CinemaCon, the annual convention of theatre owners, runs from April 15 to 18 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Convention executive Mitch Neuhauser said, "Having already been embraced by moviegoers and critics alike with his diverse list of acting credits, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is sure to establish himself as one of the most exciting new directors in movies today with the release of his directorial debut `Don Jon`s Addiction`."
`Don Jon`s Addiction`, starring Gordon-Levitt as a porn-obsessed womaniser, who attempts to start a meaningful relationship with a character played by Scarlett Johansson, is set for a summer release.
