Jamie Foxx to receive MTV`s honorary generation award

Los Angeles: Academy award winning actor Jamie Foxx will be awarded with the highest honour at MTV Movie Awards for his contributed to the entertainment industry.

The 45-year-old `Django Unchained` star will be given the Honorary Generation Award at the award ceremony, reported Ace showbiz. "As a comedian, Academy award-winning actor and Grammy award-winning artist, Jamie Foxx is a triple threat superstar unlike any we`ve seen in a long time," said MTV`s President Stephen Friedman in a statement. Previous recipients of this award include Johnny Depp, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, and Tom Cruise. Foxx has been nominated in four other categories which include Best Male Performance, Best Fight, Best Kiss, and Best WTF Moment. PTI
