Washington: Lady Gaga recently took to Twitter to attack the South African rap act Die Antwoord after the trio killed off her double in its latest video.
The ‘Poker face’ hitmaker is reportedly not amused by the band’s controversial video in which her infamous meat dress is ridiculed and massacred by the African rebels and mauled to death by a lion in the promo for ‘Fatty Boom Boom’.
“i fink u freaky but you don’t have a hit. hundred thousand tickets sold in Sa. #thatsmys**t... i guess its not a good idea to tell someone you’re a fan. never mind! we get it, you’re not a little monster (fan),” Contactmusic quoted her as tweeting. On the other hand Die Antwoord quickly responded with a tweet, in reference to a scene in the video, in which a gynaecologist removes a prawn from the fake Gaga’s genitals - in all probability a joke about past stories suggesting the U.S. singer is a hermaphrodite. “lady... even tho (though) u r ‘larger’ than us... we still cooler than u... plus we don’t have prawns in our private...(sic)” Die Antwoord tweeted. The real reason why Die Antwoord took aim at the pop singer in the video was not clear, but bandmate Yo-Landi Visser revealed earlier this year that she had turned down the chance to tour with the ‘Born This Way’ singer.
