Danny DeVito’s `wandering eye` did not cause split with wife

New York: Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman’s separation after 30 years of marriage is not because of an outside love interest, the couple’s spokesman said on Tuesday.

According to Radar Online, the 67-year-old actor’s wandering eye broke up the couple’s marriage. “Whatever you may read is a fabrication. Nobody knows the real reason because they have not shared it with anyone,” the New York Daily News quoted friend and publicist Stan Rosenfield as saying. Asked if an outside love interest was involved, Rosenfield said, “No. None.” “It’s extremely sad,” he said of the couple’s separation, which was announced on Monday. According to the website, DeVito’s flirtatious behavior had caused tensions in the seemingly strong relationship. “He may not appear to be a ladies’ man, but Danny certainly gets a lot of female attention,” the site quoted a source close to the family as saying. “Danny can be quite the flirt. Danny’s actually quite the womanizer. And, like a lot of red-blooded males, if he sees an attractive girl in a coffee shop or walking down the street, he will give her the eye,” the source said. The source said that the 64-year-old actress turned a “blind eye” for years but finally “snapped.” “She had enough of his bad-boy behavior and wanted an end to their marriage.
