London: ‘Harry Potter’ star Emma Watson playa a wardrobe girl in ‘My Week with Marilyn’, which is an account of the week Marilyn Monroe spent in Britain in 1957 filming ‘the Prince and the Showgirl’ with Laurence Olivier.
Watson, 21, who has just resumed her studies at Oxford University, will be playing her own age after more than a decade of playing the much younger Hermione in the Harry Potter films. “Hope you all like My Week with Marilyn,” the Telegraph quoted her as posting on her Twitter page. The BBC film stars Michelle Williams as the effervescent sexy Marilyn while Kenneth Branagh plays Olivier. Oscar winner Dame Judi has a supporting role as author Dame Sybil Thornton. The film is based on the book by Colin Clark, who worked as an assistant on the set of the ‘Prince and the Showgirl’ and had a unique insight into the ‘real’ Monroe.
