Here are some valuable tips on how students can de-stress themselves after their exams.

New Delhi: The leak of CBSE Class 12 accountancy paper on Thursday has come as a major shock for thousands of students, there is no reason for them to be disappointed as the government has promised strictest possible action against those responsible for it.

Nonetheless, for students taking an exam is usually a stressful affair. If there is an incident like exam paper leak, then usually the students have to retake the exam and their stress level goes up. Several studies in past too have revealed that exam stress is often among the major causes of teen suicides.

Students should not blame themselves for a paper leak as it is not their fault and instead they should concentrate on their studies and aim to do well.

Here are some valuable tips on how students can de-stress -

-Take a deep breath, relax for a while    

-Talking to friends, parents can help them beat the stress

-Doing yoga, aerobics or going for some recreation

-Listening to music to soothe tension

-Eating something healthy can lighten their mood

-Taking fruits, vegetables and fresh fruit juices can be very useful their overall health  

-Students should avoid spicy or junk food

-Not setting unrealistic expectations 

-Taking a sound sleep

-Taking breaks in between studies.

Remember, parents' constant support and encouragement to their ward may play a big role in helping them cope up with pre and post-exam stress.
