Those runs though from the lower order will not bother England a lot as their bowlers did an exceptional job in the first two! After electing to bowl, Woakes, Anderson and Robinson were on point in the first session as they got rid of the top three Indian batters. After that, there was a fightback from the Indians in the start of the second session but Woakes, Robinson and Overton once again hit back strongly as they got rid of Jadeja, Kohli and Rahane respectively. England will now look to bat well! The wicket has started to play well and they would want to cash in. India need wickets, still around 25 overs left in the day and they would love at least two before Stumps. Can they do so or will England continue to dominate? We will find out.

It was another sorry show from the Indian batters! The openers did not last for long, Pujara once again failed to get amongst the runs. Could have been a lot worse had Kohli been taken earlier on in his innings but he made most of the drop and got to a half ton. They needed a lot more from him but once again his wicket started another procession. Thakur though played a blinder and has given the bowlers something to bowl at. This session though started off brilliantly for England as they got rid of the last recognized batter, Pant, early. However, Thakur then began the retaliation. He started hitting boundaries for fun. Thakur got his 50 and along with Yadav added a 50-plus stand which has given some respectability to India's score. Once he got out though, the rest did not contribute a lot.

A really good effort with the ball by England! Yes, they will be a tad disappointed with their effort after Tea but overall, they will be delighted with where they stand in this game at the moment.

The day so far has been dominated by the bowlers and expect the last session to be no different. Thakur and Pant are capable of scoring runs but in these conditions, it will be a big challenge for them. For India, the first session was going to be the real test and they did not fare that well. The top three are back in the hut and run-scoring was also not easy. They will enter the second session on the back foot and a lot will depend on Kohli, who has looked quite solid so far. India will need their skipper to fire. The key for England was the discipline they bowled with. Barring the initial phase of the session, they relentlessly hit the right lengths and bowled the right line, especially Woakes and Robinson. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul started quite well and they looked quite solid for the first few overs. But England did not let the Indian batters score freely and were rewarded with quick wickets later on. Excellent session of pace bowling! Root’s decision at the toss has been justified so far. Yes, there was a lot of assistance from the surface but the bowlers had to make use of it and they did so brilliantly in the first session of the game. England will be the happier side by ease heading into the break.

England were sensational in the second session. Woakes got rid of Jadeja early on in the session and that brought Rahane to the crease. Kohli was batting really nicely. Yes, he was dropped in the slips early on in the session but his drives were as fluent as ever. The Indian skipper got to his fifty and looked set to get a big score. But soon after getting to his 50, Robinson got Kohli's number yet again. Rahane and Pant fought out for a while but just when Rahane was growing in confidence,

A sensational session for England and they have the game in their firm control. It was another session where they bowled in the right channels and were rewarded with big wickets. The tea will taste quite sweet for this English side.

PITCH REPORT - Rob Key is down for the pitch report. He says that this pitch is traditionally very good for spinners but the overcast conditions will make this a tough decision for the captain who wins the toss. Says that there is a bit of grass on this surface and could assist the pacers on Day 1 but it will get better to bat on as the game progresses. Adds that he would bowl first if he won the toss but he would rather lose the toss as it is a very tough decision.

Dominic Cork (on air) says that the pitch here at the Kennington Oval is a very good one to bat on traditionally. But, he adds that the overcast conditions will make for an interesting battle. Says that the forecast for the first three days is for overcast conditions and it might offer some swing on this deck.

Will Ashwin play? That is the question many people have been asking. India decided not to field their ace spinner for the first three Tests. Those runs though from the lower order will not bother England a lot as their bowlers did an exceptional job in the first two! After electing to bowl, Woakes, Anderson and Robinson were on point in the first session as they got rid of the top three Indian batters. After that, there was a fightback from the Indians in the start of the second session but Woakes, Robinson and Overton once again hit back strongly as they got rid of Jadeja, Kohli and Rahane respectively. England will now look to bat well! The wicket has started to play well and they would want to cash in. India need wickets, still around 25 overs left in the day and they would love at least two before Stumps. Can they do so or will England continue to dominate? We will find out.

It was another sorry show from the Indian batters! The openers did not last for long, Pujara once again failed to get amongst the runs. Could have been a lot worse had Kohli been taken earlier on in his innings but he made most of the drop and got to a half ton. This session though started off brilliantly for England as they got rid of the last recognized batter, Pant, early. However, Thakur then began the retaliation. He started hitting boundaries for fun. Thakur got his 50 and along with Yadav added a 50-plus stand which has given some respectability to India's score. Once he got out though, the rest did not contribute a lot.

A really good effort with the ball by England! Yes, they will be a tad disappointed with their effort after Tea but overall, they will be delighted with where they stand in this game at the moment.

The day so far has been dominated by the bowlers and expect the last session to be no different. The key for England was the discipline they bowled with. Barring the initial phase of the session, they relentlessly hit the right lengths and bowled the right line, especially Woakes and Robinson. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul started quite well and they looked quite solid for the first few overs. But England did not let the Indian batters score freely and were rewarded with quick wickets later on. Excellent session of pace bowling! Root’s decision at the toss has been justified so far. Yes, there was a lot of assistance from the surface but the bowlers had to make use of it and they did so brilliantly in the first session of the game. England were sensational in the second session. Woakes got rid of Jadeja early on in the session and that brought Rahane to the crease. Kohli was batting really nicely. Yes, he was dropped in the slips early on in the session but his drives were as fluent as ever. The Indian skipper got to his fifty and looked set to get a big score. A sensational session for England and they have the game in their firm control. It was another session where they bowled in the right channels and were rewarded with big wickets. The tea will taste quite sweet for this English side.

PITCH REPORT - Rob Key is down for the pitch report. He says that this pitch is traditionally very good for spinners but the overcast conditions will make this a tough decision for the captain who wins the toss. Says that there is a bit of grass on this surface and could assist the pacers on Day 1 but it will get better to bat on as the game progresses. Adds that he would bowl first if he won the toss but he would rather lose the toss as it is a very tough decision.

Dominic Cork (on air) says that the pitch here at the Kennington Oval is a very good one to bat on traditionally. But, he adds that the overcast conditions will make for an interesting battle. Further says England will not underestimate India especially when the pitch is good to bat on. Informs that he has heard that Chris Woakes will play in this game. Says that the forecast for the first three days is for overcast conditions and it might offer some swing on this deck.

Will Ashwin play? That is the question many people have been asking. India decided not to field their ace spinner for the first three Tests. It worked out quite decently for them in the first two Tests though. The four pacers have done a fairly decent job so far. Yes, you can say that they failed to take wickets in the third Test but one must consider that the conditions were much easier for the batters when England was batting. Those runs though from the lower order will not bother England a lot as their bowlers did an exceptional job in the first two! After electing to bowl, Woakes, Anderson and Robinson were on point in the first session as they got rid of the top three Indian batters. After that, there was a fightback from the Indians in the start of the second session but Woakes, Robinson and Overton once again hit back strongly as they got rid of Jadeja, Kohli and Rahane respectively. England will now look to bat well! The wicket has started to play well and they would want to cash in. India need wickets, still around 25 overs left in the day and they would love at least two before Stumps. Can they do so or will England continue to dominate? We will find out.

It was another sorry show from the Indian batters! The openers did not last for long, Pujara once again failed to get amongst the runs. Could have been a lot worse had Kohli been taken earlier on in his innings but he made most of the drop and got to a half ton. They needed a lot more from him but once again his wicket started another procession. Thakur though played a blinder and has given the bowlers something to bowl at. This session though started off brilliantly for England as they got rid of the last recognized batter, Pant, early. However, Thakur then began the retaliation. He started hitting boundaries for fun. Thakur got his 50 and along with Yadav added a 50-plus stand which has given some respectability to India's score. Once he got out though, the rest did not contribute a lot.

A really good effort with the ball by England! Yes, they will be a tad disappointed with their effort after Tea but overall, they will be delighted with where they stand in this game at the moment.

The key for England was the discipline they bowled with. Barring the initial phase of the session, they relentlessly hit the right lengths and bowled the right line, especially Woakes and Robinson. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul started quite well and they looked quite solid for the first few overs. But England did not let the Indian batters score freely and were rewarded with quick wickets later on. Excellent session of pace bowling! Root’s decision at the toss has been justified so far. Yes, there was a lot of assistance from the surface but the bowlers had to make use of it and they did so brilliantly in the first session of the game. England will be the happier side by ease heading into the break.

England were sensational in the second session. Woakes got rid of Jadeja early on in the session and that brought Rahane to the crease. Kohli was batting really nicely. Yes, he was dropped in the slips early on in the session but his drives were as fluent as ever. The Indian skipper got to his fifty and looked set to get a big score. But soon after getting to his 50, Robinson got Kohli's number yet again. Rahane and Pant fought out for a while but just when Rahane was growing in confidence,

A sensational session for England and they have the game in their firm control. It was another session where they bowled in the right channels and were rewarded with big wickets. The tea will taste quite sweet for this English side.

PITCH REPORT - Rob Key is down for the pitch report. He says that this pitch is traditionally very good for spinners but the overcast conditions will make this a tough decision for the captain who wins the toss. Says that there is a bit of grass on this surface and could assist the pacers on Day 1 but it will get better to bat on as the game progresses. Adds that he would bowl first if he won the toss but he would rather lose the toss as it is a very tough decision.

Dominic Cork (on air) says that the pitch here at the Kennington Oval is a very good one to bat on traditionally. But, he adds that the overcast conditions will make for an interesting battle. Will Ashwin play? That is the question many people have been asking. India decided not to field their ace spinner for the first three Tests. Those runs though from the lower order will not bother England a lot as their bowlers did an exceptional job in the first two! After that, there was a fightback from the Indians in the start of the second session but Woakes, Robinson and Overton once again hit back strongly as they got rid of Jadeja, Kohli and Rahane respectively. It was another sorry show from the Indian batters! The openers did not last for long, Pujara once again failed to get amongst the runs. Could have been a lot worse had Kohli been taken earlier on in his innings but he made most of the drop and got to a half ton. This session though started off brilliantly for England as they got rid of the last recognized batter, Pant, early. However, Thakur then began the retaliation. He started hitting boundaries for fun. Thakur got his 50 and along with Yadav added a 50-plus stand which has given some respectability to India's score. Once he got out though, the rest did not contribute a lot.

A really good effort with the ball by England! Yes, they will be a tad disappointed with their effort after Tea but overall, they will be delighted with where they stand in this game at the moment.

The day so far has been dominated by the bowlers and expect the last session to be no different. The key for England was the discipline they bowled with. Barring the initial phase of the session, they relentlessly hit the right lengths and bowled the right line, especially Woakes and Robinson. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul started quite well and they looked quite solid for the first few overs. But England did not let the Indian batters score freely and were rewarded with quick wickets later on. Excellent session of pace bowling! Root’s decision at the toss has been justified so far. Yes, there was a lot of assistance from the surface but the bowlers had to make use of it and they did so brilliantly in the first session of the game. England will be the happier side by ease heading into the break.

England were sensational in the second session. Woakes got rid of Jadeja early on in the session and that brought Rahane to the crease. Kohli was batting really nicely. Yes, he was dropped in the slips early on in the session but his drives were as fluent as ever. The Indian skipper got to his fifty and looked set to get a big score. But soon after getting to his 50, Robinson got Kohli's number yet again. Rahane and Pant fought out for a while but just when Rahane was growing in confidence,

A sensational session for England and they have the game in their firm control. It was another session where they bowled in the right channels and were rewarded with big wickets. The tea will taste quite sweet for this English side.

PITCH REPORT - Rob Key is down for the pitch report. He says that this pitch is traditionally very good for spinners but the overcast conditions will make this a tough decision for the captain who wins the toss. Says that there is a bit of grass on this surface and could assist the pacers on Day 1 but it will get better to bat on as the game progresses. Adds that he would bowl first if he won the toss but he would rather lose the toss as it is a very tough decision.

Dominic Cork (on air) says that the pitch here at the Kennington Oval is a very good one to bat on traditionally. But, he adds that the overcast conditions will make for an interesting battle. Further says England will not underestimate India especially when the pitch is good to bat on. Informs that he has heard that Chris Woakes will play in this game. Says that the forecast for the first three days is for overcast conditions and it might offer some swing on this deck.

Will Ashwin play? That is the question many people have been asking. India decided not to field their ace spinner for the first three Tests.
