MS Dhoni treats his old 'chaiwala' to special dinner — PHOTO

New Delhi: Mahendra Singh Dhoni is not your ordinary cricketer. He is the quintessential superstar who can do no wrong.

After relinquishing the national captaincy, the 35-year-old has returned to his roots, literally, and is now playing Vijay Hazare Trophy with the Jharkhand team. He travels with the team, in train, and rightly, the very act manages to caught the national attention.

But there is another untold story, which really happened.

Dhoni was in Kolkata with the Jharkhand team when Thomas, a chaiwala whose tea shop the former Indian captain used to frequent while he was a TT paid him a visit.

According to reports, Dhoni took a surprised Thomas to hotel to treat him to a dinner. Surprised because, Dhoni – even after these years – still manages to recognise the faces of people he shared time with.
