New Delhi: The 7th edition of Celebrity Cricket League will take place in the month of January-February 2017, which will feature a mix of celebrities form entertainment world rubbing shoulders with some of the finest retired cricketers.

While the list is yet to be finalized, founder of the CCL Mr. Vishnu Vardhan Induri has confirmed that the retired internationals, including, Virender Sehwag, Brian Lara, Jacques Kallis, Jonty Rhodes, Andrew Symonds, Daniel Vettori, Kumar Sangakkara and Zaheer Khan will be participating the upcoming edition.

The CCL has been extremely successful, having already had 6 seasons so far, its revenues and viewership has been rising every year.

The format of the tournament is such that so far each season was played on weekends in Jan-Feb of every year ever since its inauguration in 2011.

Regarding the venues, it has been played in a lot of cities including, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Ranchi. Occasionally, at the Sharjah and Dubai stadiums as well.

The Hong Kong Sixes had a similar format and was operational for 20 years before being scrapped in 2012 due to lack of sponsors.
