NEW DELHI: Ashish Pandey, son of a former MP of the Bahujan Samaj Party was seen brandishing a gun outside a 5-star hotel in Delhi on October 14. A case has been registered against Ashish under the Arms Act. The Delhi Police took note of the incident after a video of him with the gun went viral.
Ashish has been identified as former BSP MP Rakesh Pandey's son. Hunt is on to nab Ashish.

In the amateur video shot of him, Ashish can be seen wearing a black T-shirt and pink trousers. He can be seen outside the entrance of a prestigious south Delhi hotel with a gun in his hand. From what appears in the video, Ashish seems to have been engaged in a scuffle with the staff and guests outside the hotel. Hotel staff at the foyer can be seen trying to intervene to calm him down however, he can be seen yelling back.
The video seems to have been shot on a mobile phone.
The police has taken suo moto cognizance of the incident. "During an argument between two groups, a man threatened others with a gun. An FIR has been registered," Special Joint CP, Delhi said.
The officer also said that the Delhi Police is in touch with the Lucknow Police and assured that the accused will soon be arrested.
However, the police came down heavily on the hotel owners asking why was the incident not reported. "We have asked the 5-star hotel authorities why they did not report the incident to the police," the Special Joint CP said.
