London: Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer guitarist Michael Clifford, who suffered burns to his face due to a mishap during a concert in London, returned to complete his gig just 24 hours after the accident.

Earlier, the band's concert was abandoned when the 19-year-old guitarist stepped too close to a flame-throwing device and suffered burns to his head.

Clifford bravely returned to the same stage, where the incident occurred to play the band's final Wembley concert just a day after he was given clearance by doctors, reported the Daily Mirror.

"There's been a lot of love spread around lately, thank you all so much. All of us boys appreciate everything you do... Thank you for tonight Wembley! You were amazing," he tweeted.

Clifford had previously shared a picture, which showed half of his face covered in bandages.

"Sorry I couldn't finish the encore, but at least I look like Two-Face," he joked.
