Sofia Vergara gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Los Angeles: Actress Sofia Vergara stepped out with fiance Joe Manganiello to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her Emmy awardk-winning work on TV show "Modern Family".

The 42-year-old actress was dressed in a strapless, floral embroidered gold dress accessorized with matching Neil Lane jewels ? including a serpent bangle with gold and colored gems, a large citrine diamond, and platinum earrings, reported People magazine.

The ceremony came just hours after Vergara and her ex-husband, Nick Loeb, 39, squared off on dueling morning talk shows about the battle over their frozen embryos.

Vergara's "Modern Family" co-stars Julie Bowen, Ed O'Neill and Eric Stonestreet were also in attendance at the ceremony. Steven Levitan, a co-creator and executive producer of the series, Stonestreet, and Vergara's son, Manolo, also spoke at the podium on her behalf.

"It is such an honor to be given this recognition," Vergara posted on her website about receiving the 2,551st plaque on the walkway.
