New Delhi: The biggest musical blockbuster of 90`s `Aashiqui` made by Gulshan Kumar and Mahesh Bhatt , is all set to make a comeback with its second installment that marks the reunion of Bhatt camp and Bhushan Kumar.
The makers along with the star cast were spotted promoting the film in New Delhi.
Lead actress, Shraddha Kapoor, described it as an honour to be a part of the emotional journey.
"I was very young in fact just born when Aashiqui was released and was in class 7th or 8th when I first saw Aashiqui and to be a part of this emotional journey along with Mr. Bhatt and T-series, Vishesh films and of course we are the new edition so its an absolute honour," she said.
"The similarities, which I feel the 2 Ashiqui`s have, is the intense love. That is premier in both the films so that is a common factor," the actress added.
Speaking on the occasion, filmmaker Bhatt said that the upcoming flick is much better than Aashiqui 1.
"Today on this platform I am forecasting something about the film and that is that this film is thousand times better than Aashiqui 1 in terms of its intensity and finishing," he said.
"This is completely a new generation you all have much better cinematic literacy and you have many things, which was missing in the past. And I feel it is very unfair to compare present with past. Yes there were certain things in those times that help us made that film but this is much ore superior," Bhatt said.
The 64-year-old director urged the audience to watch his movie.
"Come 26th April and you will know what I said that this is an outstanding film which will remain in your heart for 50 to 100 years time," he added.
Directed by Mohit Suri, the film, which also includes Aditya Roy Kapoor, is set to release on 26th April.
