Jiah Khan death: CBI searches residence of actor Aditya Pancholi

New Delhi: The CBI has searched the residence of star kid Aditya Pancholi in relation to the deceased actress Jiah Khan. 

The CBI had registered a formal case to investigate the death of Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, five weeks after a Bombay High Court order in August, 2014. The order came after the high court transferred the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and asked it to consider whether it was a case of suicide or homicidal death.

In relation to the apparent suicide, investigations are on to decide on the matter.

The actresses mother, London-based Rabiya Khan, has maintained that her daughter was the victim of a cold-blooded murder rather than suicide and had also written to UK Foreign Secretary William Hague to intervene in the matter. There were also forensic reports that suggested that the case was that of homicide. 

Actress Jiah Khan was found hanging in her Juhu apartment on June 3, 2013. Suraj Pancholi, Aditya's son, was Jiah`s then boyfriend and was the last person she spoke to before her death.
