Model-actress found dead in Mumbai residence

New Delhi: 40 year old Model-actress Shikha Joshi was reportedly found dead at her home in Mumbai in mysterious circumstances. 

A leading daily reported that the 'BA Pass' actress a resident of MHADA's Rajyog Society​, Andheri West was taken to a nearby hospital after her roommate found her drenched in blood but the actress succumbed before getting help. 

Police said when the actress' roommate reached the flat and knocked the door, Joshi, who was inside the flat, asked her to wait and said she will open the door in couple of minutes. But even after a while when Joshi did not open the door, her roommate opened it with her keys and found the actress dead with a sharp knife stabbed into her throat.

"No suicide note has been recovered so far but primarily it seems to be a case of suicide," the officer said.

Though there are no confirmations, Joshi may have taken the step as there was a severe lack of work, even though she has been seen in small roles on television.

Reports further suggest that a case of accidental death has been registered at Versova police station after the neighbours alerted them about the situation .

According to ANI, Ravindra Pawar, SI,Versova said, "She was a Delhi based model but was staying with her friend in Mumbai since the last two months. We have recorded the statement of her friend with whom she was staying. There is a possibility that she might have been in depression being jobless."
