Nicki Minaj Barbie doll to be auctioned for charity

Washington: Nicki Minaj has revealed that she is very thrilled that toy company Mattel has created a Barbie Doll in her likeness.

Minaj, 28, told Billboard that it was a “major moment” for both her career and for her fans whom she refers to as “Barbies”. ‘It’s just a one of a kind, limited edition for charity, and so I never thought Mattel would even pay attention to me,” Contactmusic quoted the hip hop star as telling the publication. “For me this is a very major moment, because it just shows that you can come from nothing and still be a force in the main world, a business woman, and hopefully a mogul one day,” she added. The doll, which features Minaj’s signature hair and sparkly outfits, will be a one-of-a-kind model that will be auctioned at Charitybuzz.com on Dec 7, and will start at 1000 dollars. All the money will go to Project Angel Food, which helps those affected by HIV and AIDS. ANI
