REVEALED: Manish Malhotra's dresses for Kareena Kapoor's dawat-e-walima

New Delhi: It is a wedding being widely discussed right from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and by the who’s who to the aunti ji types over their evening tea gossip sessions. As Kareena Kapoor gears up to walk the aisle to marry her long time beau Saif Ali Khan, it is her dear designer buddy Manish Malhotra who has taken upon the responsibility on his shoulders to dress her up for her dawat-e-walima or reception. Talking to the media, Manish disclosed that since Kareena loves the colour red, he has designed a red saree for her wedding reception. “I am very happy for Kareena and very excited about designing for her. I have designed a red sari for the Mumbai reception and I am designing the outfit for the Delhi function,” said an ecstatic Manish. For the main nikaah ceremony, it has already been decided that Bebo will don the sharara worn by Sharmila Tagore on her shaadi. The official wedding ceremony is being speculated to happen at the Pataudi Palace, and which will be attended by the bride and the groom’s respective families only. However, the wedding will be followed by two receptions – one in Mumbai and the other one in Delhi which will see a bevy of film stars and names from the political circles lining-up to wish the newly-wedded couple. Gosh! Now we only wish if we could lay our eyes on the gorgeous Kareena in red on her D-day.
