Shah Rukh Khan upset as ‘Dilwale’ collection suffers due to ‘intolerance’ comments, but won’t apologise

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan is upset with the fact that the collections of his latest-  Diwale – was affected due to his controversial comments he had made a few days back on the alleged “growing intolerance” in the country.

SRK’s comments had landed him in trouble after people on social media and beyond, slammed him for such remarks and criticised him for maligning the reputation of the country. Even many of his ardent fans were disillusioned with his remarks!

However, the superstar doesn’t feel he said anything that merits an apology from him but does regret the fact that the Box Office collections of the Rohit Shetty film did get affected because of the hullabaloo.

"I have not said anything that I should apologise (for). I will fall in my own eyes if I do that," SRK said at a media meet to promote his latest film ‘Dilwale’.

Angered by Shah Rukh's statement on 'religious intolerance', Bajrang Dal activists opposed the film's screening in Araria and Patna districts of Bihar. Protests also took place in Ghaziabad, Varanasi, Jabalpur and many places in Rajasthan.
