New Delhi: The much-awaited trailer of Amitabh Bachchan's upcoming film 'Pink' was released today. And, within a few hours, it has gone viral on the social media.
It was being said that the movie is inspired by the Nirbhaya case. But, now, it has turned out that all such talks were mere rumours.
"Nirbhaya is a big scar in our heart, mind and legal system. We feel ashamed. We went through each department of that case (Nirbhaya case). This film is not inspired by that case," PTI quoted producer Shoojit Sircar as saying.
He added, "We have seen these kind of cases in Delhi, Kolkata. I think everyone will relate to it, it must have happened in life with you all. Nirbhaya case helped me in legal terms but (the film's story) is not based on this case at all. We were inspired by real court cases around the country. We have combined all and made it an entertaining and thrilling journey."
