Diane Kruger signs two indie films

Los Angeles: Actress Diane Kruger has signed on for two independent films.

Kruger, 38, will star in Alice Winocour's 'Maryland' and Fabienne Berthaud's 'Sky', reports suggest.

'Maryland' follows a former soldier suffering from PTSD who is hired to protect the wife and child of a wealthy businessman while he is away.

In 'Sky', a woman will find herself spiritually re-awakened while travelling solo.

Kruger is best known for her role as Sonya Cross in FX's 'The Bridge'.

The series just ended its second season on the network.
