'Finding Fanny' Quick review

Mumbai: Filmmaker Homi Adajania's much-talked about film 'Finding Fanny' has hit the theatres today, and with it rises the expectation from the movie. The film stars veterans such as Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia, besides Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor.

The Finding Fanny show is just about to start. Audience waiting for bated breath.

Film starts with a hilarious disclaimer.

Ferdie the old postman is introduced to us.

Now comes Angie aka Deepika Padukone.

And then we have the self-obsessed Rosalina.

She is the self-proclaimed lady of Pokolim.

​Angie talks about her wedding with Gabo.

And then she introduces Don Pedro, who has a fetish for plump women. Make no mistake, he is a painter.

Last but not the least, Savio comes into the picture.

Angie and Ferdie are now friends.

Ferdie is in tears. His letter to Stephanie returns to him after 46 years. Poor lover, the letter didn't reach his ladylove.

Fearing rejection he never dared to propose to her verbally.

Ferdie is in his dream world, romances Stephanie.

And then wakes up, asking himself, "it's funny how can you cry under water"?

Ferdie talks about the dream. He says, he drowned in his dream, Angie tells him that they need to 'find Fanny'.

Angie wants to know if Savio is unmarried.

Angie wants a favour from Savio. She needs the car that belongs to Don Pedro, so that she could take Ferdie out to find Fanny.

Don Pedro wants to paint Rosie's portrait.

Angie puts forth a tempting offer to Don Pedro, so that he could lend his car.

Pedro gears up to impress Rosie. The five crazy people are about to meet.

And the road trip begins.

The five reach Fanny's house.

Ferdie fears Fanny may not recognise him.

The second half of the film will unfold the remaining part of the story.

The door opens.

The five wait for Fanny. The Russian resident of the house talks about his wife. But no trace of Fanny as yet.

The five then move out. To continue their search.

Ferdie shares a secret with Savio.

The five are on their way to Fanny's village.

Ferdie is overjoyed.

But the poor lot are on the wrong route. Now try to get back on track.

But the car runs short of fuel. The five halt at a certain spot and relax.

Pedro and Rosie share a drink.

Angie and Savio express their feelings for each other.

Angie expresses her desire to Savio in the darkness of the night.

When Ferdie returns, he finds Pedro painting Rosie's portrait.

Everything changes suddenly.

The equations, the purpose of the road trip.

Ferdie reaches Fanny's village.

Everyone is happy for Ferdie. 

It's all about Finding love.
