Ranveer Singh's 'kissing' bout in 'Befikre' has been DECODED! Deets inside

New Delhi: One of the most sought after actors in B-Town these days is Ranveer Singh. The 'Bajirao' of Bollywood will next be seen in Yash Raj Films' 'Befikre' which is helmed by none other than the man himself—Aditya Chopra. Do we really need more reasons to place our bets on this one?

Adi is known to break the stereotypes and add something fresh to the mundane looking love stories. So, when he decides to add 'kissing spree' ka tadka, trust him to do it for a reason and not just otherwise. Now, the real reason behind so many kisses in 'Befikre' has been decoded.

According to BollywoodLife.com, the first song of the film was recently released and surprising it did not feature the lead pair of Ranveer and Vaani Kapoor. However, it did capture various couples in the streets of the Paris kissing each other. Reason? Well, according to the report 'Labon Ka Karobaar' is supposed to be in the opening credits of the film, and this is why it has been shot that way. Also, Adi wants to break the hullaballoo associated with a kiss, reportedly.

BollywoodLife.com quotes a source from YRF as saying, “A kiss is known to have sexual connotations and Adi wants to break that image. When Labon… comes with the opening credits, it will ring in heady memories of romance and set the mood for a carefree, unhindered experience of love on celluloid. After the song ends, what follows will be seen as natural and will not be interpreted in a sexual context. The film is set in Paris, hence the video is about kissing couples in the city of love. The concept of the song is to make a kiss seem as natural and as affectionate as a hug — something that doesn’t happen much in public in India.”

Further, the report quotes Ranveer as saying, “Adi Sir explained to me what he had in mind. In Befikre, you see kissing as a normal thing, just like a hug — an act of warmth and love. I loved his thought and Labon Ka Karobaar' is just perfect as the mood-setter for our film, to show that if you love someone, be carefree and show it with a kiss.”

'Befikre' is releasing on December 9, 2016.
