Los Angeles: Actors Mark Ruffalo and Channing Tatum cried after filming their final wrestling scene in “Foxcatcher”, says director Bennett Miller.
Based on a true story from the late 1980s, “Foxcatcher” follows two Olympic gold-medalist wrestler brothers as they are pulled into the deranged orbit of chemical heir John Du Pont.
In the film, Ruffalo and Tatum sport impressively hulky physiques as the brothers David and Mark Schultz. They move like wrestlers, with an authentic blocky, top-heavy carriage, reports washingtonpost.com.
Asked what was the most challenging part of their physical training?
Miller said: “All of it."
“Both of the guys cried when we wrapped the last wrestling scene, and they knew they weren’t going to have to do it anymore. They literally held each other and cried. And that’s really not a wrestling thing to do. There are no tears in wrestling,” he added.
“Foxcatcher” will release in India Jan 16, 2015.
