Gigi Hadid makes directorial debut with DNCE's music video

Los Angeles: Model Gigi Hadid has made her directorial debut with boyfriend Joe Jonas' new band DNCE's new music video.

The video shoot for the song "Cake by the Ocean" marks the first for the band, reported E! online.

"She's always had a high creative eye so she came up with concept and we rolled with it. She was a good boss," Jonas, 26, said.

The video features a massive Victoria sponge cake on the beach and also includes a group of well-built male cheerleaders.

"It came together really quickly. We're really excited about it because it's just something that I think is wacky and fun." he said.

Jonas' band mates, JinJoo Lee, Cole Whittle and Jack Lawless sing along on a stage.
