Elton John to marry partner David Furnish next year

Los Angeles: Singer Elton John has revealed that he would be exchanging vows with his partner David Furnish next year.

The 66-year-old entertainer and his filmmaker partner are in a civil partnership they entered into in England back in 2005 after beginning their relationship in 1993, reported E!Online. During a chat show, when the singer was asked if he would take advantage of the law that legalize same-sex marriage, John responded with a "Yes." "Yeah, we will do next May when it comes out. If the laws are gonna help us again, as a famous gay couple we will do it. It`s our duty to do it to make sure everyone knows that this is something that`s a gift that we never dreamed we`d ever get," John said. John and Furnish are co-parents to two sons, Zachary and Elijah, who were born through surrogacy. PTI
