Los Angeles: `The Vampire Diaries` star Ian Somerhalder is reportedly very serious for `Twilight` star Nikki Reed, whom he started dating a month ago.The couple, who have tried to keep their relationship under wraps barring a few public appearances together, cannot get enough of each other, reported a magazine.
The pair attended Heifer International`s Beyond Hunger Gala in Beverly Hills on Friday, where Somerhalder, 35, was honoured.
Though they arrived separately, the pair sat at a table together for a cozy date night. Then right before Somerhalder accepted his award, Reed, 26, apparently leaned in to whisper something into his ear and planted a kiss on his cheek.
The low-key couple were first spotted out together at a farmers` market in Studio City, California, July 20, where they sipped on coffee and picked up some goods.
"They were a bit affectionate and looked cute together. Nikki looked giddy but also a bit shy about Ian`s affection. You could tell that it`s all very new and that they haven`t dated for long," a source said.
Their relationship comes months after Reed announced her amicable divorce from musician Paul McDonald in March after two-and-a half years of marriage. Somerhalder split from co-star and longtime girlfriend Nina Dobrev in 2013.
