Eclectic mix of oriental design by Tarun Tahiliani create magic at WIFW

New Delhi: Tarun Tahilani never fails to mesmerize audience sitting at any fashion event with his exquisite design and fabulous work of art. Every women wants a piece of him and he always has more to offer. As everyone waited with bated breaths, the heart pounding increasing to the music - a silhouette with a conical Chinese hat emerges at the horizon slowly transforming the whole aura of the place with its sheer magnificence. The fabulous collection was inspired by Chinese colour story. Shades of charcoal, muted wine, taupe accented with fiery red and teal were visible. Detailed with chinoiserie motifs with a touch of paisley, quilting, toggle trimming and intricate shibori work. Not to forget Tarun’s signature jersey drapes in rich indigo. Adding to the texture was velvet appliqué work wrapped around elegant sari drapes. Offering kaftans, tunics, jackets, saris, dresses, trousers, each piece was dipped in sensibility and sensuality. Flowy kaftans, panels of intricate chikankari, mandarin collars, fringing, keyhole cut-outs combined with paneling and orientalist jackets, left everyone desiring for more. Hint of China and spice of India was mixed to create magic by Tarun Tahiliani.
