Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Chandra visits Hisar, inaugurates several projects

Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Dr Subhash Chandra on Sunday visited Hisar in Haryana. During his visit, the Rajya Sabha MP inaugurated several projects while he also laid foundation stones for some others. He also interacted with local residents.

Dr Chandra inaugurated a Covering of Storm Water Drain near cremation ground in Rishi Nagar area of Hisar. The cover has been installed at an expenditure of Rs 35 lakh. The event was organised by cremation ground development committee. Addressing the gathering, Dr Chandra said that we must strive to continue working for social welfare.

According to officials of the committee, the repairing of the drain will provide relief to people from clogged drainage. They said that it would also help during rains by preventing water logging in the area.

They further said that they had been struggling since long to get the repair work done, it could become possible only with the help of Dr Chandra.

Dr Chandra also laid the foundation stone of a dining hall, to be constructed for students living in Sant Kabir hostel. The dining hall is being built at an expenditure of Rs 30 lakh. Speaking at the gathering, Dr Chandra emphasised on the need of unity to build a welfare society.
